Capella is one of the few colleges or universities to offer a BS, MS and PhD in Public Safety. However I believe that this will be a growing trend. Some who work in the HS area have shared with me that they believe that the HS degree offers them a more generalized degree and perhaps more career options. Many others have shared with me that the public safety degree provides instant degree recognition within the public safety domain. As with your degree specialization, this is a very individual decision.
