Hello everyone! Joe and I just returned from a trip to New Orleans attending the IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police) conference. Our public safety program had the honor of being one of the sponsors for the event, which hosted 17,000 chiefs and law enforcement executives from around the world. We had the pleasure of speaking with chiefs from around this great land and also had the pleasure of meeting several international law enforcement leaders.
I was impressed to see the many technological exhibits on display that portend the enhanced sophistication of law enforcement and public safety. I continue to be impressed as the law enforcement field continues its process toward further professionalization. The exhibits on display showed the varied acumen that must be possessed by today’s public safety leaders. In my view, certainly technology, education and thoughtfulness will continue to guide the profession in the near and far future.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to visit us, say hello and investigate Capella’s new public safety program.
