Quality Matters Recognition

2008 Aug 19 Posted by Joseph Pascarella

Recently, the Capella University Public Safety program within the School of Human Services entire program was certified as meeting Quality Matters standards. Quality Matters is a peer-reviewed process consisted of experienced and trained online professors that review online courses to ensure that the course is student-centered and that the course material, technology, and delivery are meeting the course objectives and outcomes.

As a trained and certified Reviewer that has participated in over a half-dozen reviews for other institutions, I can attest to the arduousness, rigor, and professionalism of the process that has been instituted by Quality Matters. This recognition is evidence of the commitment made by Capella University to academically preparing Public Safety leaders of the future.

Take care and stay safe.

Kelly Rasmussen Says:

Quality Matters to the Learners also! As a learner in the public safety PhD program I can attest to the arduous and very interactive learning process in the online courses. Additionally, the Colloquiums bring it all together by making the face-to-face connections and providing opportunities for networking and understanding.

As a whole package; learning from, interacting with and meeting other Public Safety Professionals gives a well-rounded, global effect of teamwork that will propel all of us into a domain that seeks more highly qualified professionals to lead the way.

Capella is making that happen!
Quality matters to all of us and I am proud to be a part of Capella University.

Congratulations all!
Kelly Rasmussen
