Congress Funds Public Safety Program Providing Grants to Communities to Hire Firefighters
According to an article published in Fire Engineering, the recently passed (December 15, 2011) omnibus package for fiscal year 2012, provides struggling communities with access to $742.5 million in grants to maintain and improve public safety in neighborhoods across the country.

2011 FEMA Individual and Community Preparedness Awards
