Laura Pettler is a Researcher at Capella University completing a Ph.D. in Public Service Leadership, Public Safety, specializing in Criminal Justice. Laura hopes to work internationally in the field of forensics upon graduation. Laura is the Investigator for Prosecutorial District Twenty A of North Carolina. Laura is the first forensic scientist to ever be hired by a DA’s Office in North Carolina and is the Co-Founder/Director of the State’s first and only Crime Scene Reconstruction and Behavioral Analysis Program. In March 2009, Laura opened the Richmond Community College International Forensic Institute with co-founder District Attorney Michael Parker. Laura is the founder of FACs, the Forensic Association of the Carolinas. As a Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst with the International Association for Identification, Laura teaches internationally in bloodstain pattern analysis and crime scene reconstruction. Laura is the owner of Carolina Forensics and Co-Inventor of Tubular Dowel Crime Scene Reconstruction.
