Marian Mosser is a core faculty member with Capella University. Her scholar-practitioner journey began by obtaining a master’s degree in criminal justice from Youngstown State University, and a second master’s degree in military history from Command and General Staff College, Leavenworth, KS. Her PhD is from Walden University, where her research focused on law enforcement preparedness against terrorism in Florida. Her extensive experience in the U.S. Army, both in military police and counterintelligence, and later working in emergency management for the State of Florida, has allowed her to collaborate with national and international experts in public safety, law enforcement, homeland security, as well as emergency managers.
