Dr. Gill lives in Piermont, New York with her husband Rodney and 3 year-old daughter Nina. She graduated with a PhD from the Union Institute and University with a dual degree in Forensic Science and Psychology, an M.S. in Human Service Administration from Spertus College, a B.S. in Psychology, minoring in Biology, from Illinois State University, and an A.A.S. in Mortuary Science from Worsham College School of Mortuary Science.
Dr. Gill completed a field practicum and internship as an Autopsy Assistant for Dupage County Coroner’s Office in Wheaton, Illinois. Her first professional job was with Human Resources Development Institute (HRDI) as Director of a Case management team servicing adults suffering from chronic mentally illness in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Gill also worked for River Edge hospital in Forest Park, IL. as an Master Assessment Specialist and Psychologist for ex-offenders and mentally challenged adults and children in need of hospitalization. In addition, she was employed as a trade embalmer for several funeral homes in the greater Chicago area where she was a licensed funeral director and embalmer. She worked 4½ years as an Assistant Professor for the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, teaching various graduate level forensic courses, before returning home to New York. In addition to working for Capella, she is a forensic scientist for two Medical Examiner’s offices in Upstate New York.
